Vertis receives court approval on way to merger
Vertis Communications has received confirmation of its reorganization plan from the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Vertis said last month it would file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as part of its prepackaged reorganization plan to merge with competitor American Color Graphics.

Charming Shoppe Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its non-core misses apparel catalogs, known as Crosstown Traders, to Orchard Brands, a portfolio company of Golden Gate Capital, for a purchase price of $35 million in cash.

Integrated health plan company Kaiser Permanente has tapped Pegasystems as its new provider for customer management software. Pegasystems' Customer Process Manager for Healthcare (CPM-HC) will be installed on all desktops in Kaiser Permanente's national call centers.
